Heisman, Heisman, Who Wants the Heisman
Hello June. Soon July. Then August. Woop Woop. Time to start thinking about all of the wonderful things the college football season will bring. Why not kick it off with the hotly contested Heisman race that will take place this year. In the first time since forever (My AC is broken in my place so I am too lazy to type things into google) the top three vote getters from the year before are back. This years race will be very similar to 2005 because of the star power at the top with Tebow, Bradford and McCoy. Much like the national title race, to think it will come from anyone outside of these top guys is pretty foolish. Not that anyone else doesn't deserve it but part of the Heisman race is just like a preseason poll, a lot of it is about hype. Gar, ESPN controls everything. (I'm still bitter about hockey.)
Other names in the race might include Jahvid Best, Zac Robinson, Daryll Clark and any other person that you have been telling your buddies about. My dark horse is Jonathan Dwyer from Ga Tech. Absurd as that sounds, you know he is going to get that ball in that offense. Of course he will be hurt playing in the parody ridden ACC but that is why it is a dark horse. Just throwing it out there.
Im off to continue to sweat. Take it easy.

I Can't Quit You
So the run to the cup is over and I can now return to my former life of obsessing over college football. And what a better way to start than to pick up the new addition of Phil Steele's college football preview. This is an obvious must read to any college football fan and it and I will be attached at the hip all summer. Some interesting observations so far is that he has Notre Dame as high as seven and has Ohio as the second most improved team. (Who knew? Phil Steele that's who)
I will start to put a plan together for this summer as I will break down the college football landscape to get you ready. Right now I am exhausted as I spent the entire weekend back home in Pittsburgh. I even got to touch the cup down on the South Side on Saturday. It was a pretty wild time. Back soon to start back up this song and dance. Until then...
Take it easy and Go Pens!

I've Been Marching
Sorry for the limited posting. I have been preoccupied with the Penguins march to the Stanley Cup Finals. The March has gone something like this...
I did some guest blogging for my Michigan friends over at The Truth. Clearly I don't know enough about hockey.
I will be back up and running here shortly. It is June 1 and that means preview magazines which leads to preseason polls which leads to preseason camp which leads to happiness. Wooo!
